Aim 2: Overcome immune suppression and immune exclusion

PRIMA aims to enhance the effectiveness of immunotherapy by investigating the immunosuppressive patterns within the tumor microenvironment (TME)

A significant hurdle to enhancing the effectiveness of immunotherapy lies in understanding and overcoming the obstacles that prevent immune cells from infiltrating, functioning, and persisting in the tumor microenvironment (TME). These factors can potentially undermine the performance of immune cells that have been engineered for therapy.

Therefore, PRIMA's goal is to pinpoint the immunosuppressive patterns that exist within the TME. We will achieve this through investigating the interplay between the tumor and the host within this environment, employing the latest technologies available. This effort is fundamental to our broader mission to advance and refine the therapeutic strategies we have at our disposal.
