Goal of the project
Allorejection is a key hurdle limiting the persistence of allogeneic, off-the-shelf T and NK cell-based cancer immunotherapies. This project will establish sophisticated models of T cell-mediated allorejection to aid in the development of immune-evasive allogeneic cellular immunotherapies.

Status update
We are currently developing robust models of T cell-mediated allorejection utilizing therapeutic TCRs developed by the Olweus group. This approach enables precise control over T cell antigen recognition within our models. Using this system, we are able to rapidly assess different immune stealth strategies engineered into cellular immunotherapies.

What you think of the grant mechanism?
The PRIMA Synergy Grants have been an excellent mechanism for promoting collaboration across various groups within PRIMA. This grant has given me the opportunity to develop and lead a high-risk, high-reward project alongside one of my peers, an opportunity that would not have been possible otherwise.
