Postdoc Madeleine Lehander introduces the students to cryopreservation of cells in liquid nitrogen.

This is the second time Olweus’s lab had a visit from students who are introduced to basic principles for how to gene edit cells, and how we use these methods to create new exciting strategies for new cancer therapies. The visit included lectures by PhD student Maria Stadheim Eggebø and Prof. Johanna Olweus and a guided lab tour led by Maria and postdocs Nick Chandler, Madeleine Lehander, and Julia Heinzelbecker.

“It's always great to have students visit, and they often ask smart and interesting questions that really make you think” says Maria.

It is always useful to practice on presenting cutting edge science in an easy and pedagogical fashion.
